Our college has shown exceptional flexibility in acquiring, providing and sustaining the present global trends in imparting quality education. There is no dearth of exposure to the changing and challenging global scenario, requirements and experiments. We provide ample scope for desired pursuance of subject combinations. The present reputation and continuous success of the institution is the outcome of competent and dedicated staff and the generous management. The faculty efforts have made the students responsible and disciplined. The splashy green campus, the vast and inviting ground, the rich and peaceful library, technology enabled spacious class rooms, well equipped Computer, Language and Geography Labs, facilities for indoor games, advanced multi gym facilities, safe and well housed nest for girls stay and study. The extension activities through NSS, Scouts and YRC units have created a sense of responsibility and social services and concern among the students. My colleagues have never left any students dis-heartened in their pursuit of knowledge. I have succeeded in my mission only because of timely, constant assistance from my colleagues and the management. Unless we bring in the element of caring and sharing the nation building activity will not be a successful vision i.e. Mind Moulding and Nation Building, in to a Reality.
COLLEGE
The Higher Education was a distant hope for the rural aspirants of the region. The timely awakening and emergence of the Mudalgi Education Society created strong, hope and desire among the socially and educationally unprivileged rural aspirants. Thus there was sowing of a small seed in the form of the present pioneer institution i.e. Arts and Commerce College in 1984. The college was inaugurated in presence of worshipful His Holiness Shri. Shri. Shri. 1008 Jagaddaguru Kumarendra Mahaswamiji of Savalagimath.
Ours is a prestigious grant-in-aid institution of Govt. of Karnatak, affiliated permanently formerly to Karnatak University Dharwad and presently to Rani Channamma University, Belagavi. Our institution is recognized by the UGC under section 2(f) in April 1990 and under section 12(B) in November 1997. Housed in a sprawling set up of 43.14 acres of valuable land, the institution which began with 84 strong willed students has grown steadily but surely. Now it has 823 students pursuing B.A. and B.Com. Programmes.
The institution is proud of its infrastructure facilities keeping in view its rural background. The college has natural environs, well equipped library and Information Center, extensive playground and indoor game facilities, spacious gym hall, well ventilated and technology enabled lecture halls, well-furnished laboratories, cheap Xerox facility, fresh drinking water facility, dedicated, devoted and determined staff and the Ganesh temple for forming of spiritual culture. Because of all these facilities the success of the college in curricular and co-curricular activities has added many feathers to its cap. This has been possible only because of the proper co-ordination and harmony between the teachers and the taught.
